Usually, on the last Sunday in January, the King’s Army (the Royalist half of the English Civil War Society) gathers on the Mall in London to march to Horse Guards Parade for a ceremony to commemorate the execution of King Charles I, on January 30th, 1649.
Obviously, this has not been possible this year, but we have produced this video to mark the occasion.
We hope to return next year for what will be the 50th time this event has taken place.
